The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with a Viton rubber material designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions and surface finishes. The edger has a very strong motor cuts great! As long as you are placing the edger on a wide flat surface. If the area you want to edge is along the curb and narrow the edger is to big and bluky for a narrow edge strip
